Is there a red eye tool in Pixelmator Pro? If so, where can I find it? if not, how should I best use the existing tools in Pixelmator Pro to eliminate red eye?

Unfortunately that is a tool that is not yet available in Pixelmator Pro

I find a couple of dabs with the Darken and Desaturate tools works well. You'll need to experiment with the settings a little, though.

Bump. This feature would be very handy right about now for me. ;-)

Red eye tool would sure be nice. It is a glaring omission.

Thanks for the reminders — I'll remind the rest of the team about this, too!

Strangely enough I was just searching for this feature too - a lot of photo fixing of old photos going on during the virus lockdown...

Especially if there was a red eye tool that could at least somewhat preserve the actual color of the eye when there is some visible. Doing a large photo scanning project and have largely used Pixelmator to correct the color but often I end up with all eyes being grey.

There are probably different scenarios to this but I think you could work around this issue using selections — this way, you can focus just on the spot that's discolored, leaving the surrounding areas untouched.

Yeah, I've just done a massive set of photos for someone and the majority had red eye. Oh yawn, it was dreary. Luckily I know the people so I know their eye colours.
Yes,selections/darken/desaturate will sort it, I just find it odd that Pixelmator has advanced ML in other areas but not for this basic one.
Work-arounds are fine but at the end of the day a one or low-click solution would be gratefully received.
thanks.

Yep, a single-click solution totally makes sense for edits like these (especially for group photos or large volumes of images). We actually have the tool on our TO-DO list but more as a nice-to-have feature and something we'd like to add once we're done with other updates we're working on right now.

So Pixelmator had the tool but the Pro version doesn't?

Pixelmator has a great development team. This app is fantastic.

I truly hope that they are somehow surviving well enough with all these discounts they’re doing, as I’m scared they will be turning to subscription soon (Photo on iOS has turned to subscription, and I’m sure it will be an “experiment” to see how it’s received and if it’s worth changing all their products to subscription).
