Found a nice photoshop layer style online https://graphicriver.net/item/amazing-s ... yles/63477. Now I want to import it for use in Pixelmator Pro. How do I do this?

Hey Todd, the Photoshop layer style is system is very very different from the one in Pixelmator Pro, so layer styles from the two apps are not compatible with each other. I'm doing my best to think of any workarounds but, in this case, I don't think there are any... :disappointed:

Technically, I can totally understand how the layer styles of Photoshop and Pixelmator Pro are incompatible. However, there is at least one style that can be potentially imported from PSD without information loss: Color overlay.

E.g. this is how Affinity Designer imports a PSD image from https://developer.apple.com/design/reso ... macos-apps . Note how the shadow layer itself is light grey (no idea why) but it includes black color overlay effect:

When I open the same PSD in Pixelmator Pro, the effect is lost and the shadow is light-grey:

I guess whay I'm trying to say is: even as little support as Color overlay only could be already a lot of help sometimes!

True, there are definitely improvements that can be made, even if full-on support isn't entirely possible. We've actually got a big PSD engine rewrite in the works at the moment, so while we can't promise this particular style will be implemented, there should be lots of improvements to PSD support across the board. Improvements to the Style tool (with more layer styles) are also on our roadmap, so there's good news on that front, too!
