The file is EMPTY while I close the app althought I saved it

MacOS: 11.5.2 (Big Sur)
Pixelmator Pro: 2.1.3 Coral

Expected Behavior: I can open my saved raw adjustment correctly.
Existing Behavior: While I open .pxd file, it shows empty as attachment below.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a RAW file with Pixelmator Pro.
2. Make the adjustment.
3. Save it.
4. Close the file or Quit Pixelmator Pro.
5. Open the .pxd file.

This bug will kill my life, luckily I have exported the image to PNG last night. I hope that your team can fixed this as soon as possible. Thanks

Hi Rocher! Thanks for taking the time to report this. From what I can see in the screencast you've sent, it appears that you're saving your Pixelmator Pro documents to an external storage drive. If your external drive uses ExFAT formatting, you're most likely dealing with a saving issue discussed in this article here. Thanks for you reply. I will going to format my working disk and try to use it again, I still hope that this will fixed soon as I cannot format every external disk for Mac Extended.

My problem
I edit a photo in pixelmator pro and export it to the source directory itself (as jpeg to HEIC format). My file is saved with zero bytes. If the file is saved to a directory outside the source directory, the file is saved without any problem.

You're having the same issue as Rocher Lee only in your case, binary files are affected rather than Pixelmator Pro package files (which only lose the pixel data). Saving or exporting the image to your desktop first and then moving it to the external drive should help.
