Filmstrip (like Lightroom)

What features would you like to see in Pixelmator Pro?

I would really love to see a filmstrip in Pixelmator Pro like in Lightroom. This is really useful for editing multiple photos at the same time (you could easily jump between them and apply changes to multiple ones at the same time). If this feature is added the ability to rate, tag, name, etc. would be of use too.

This probably isn't something we'd add to Pixelmator Pro, but we do have plans to bring Pixelmator Photo to the Mac and that would certainly be a great feature for it!

This would be a solid compromise for sure, making it a legitimate lightroom AND photoshop replacement! :raised_hands:

Really!? You just made my day... Is there an approximate date for the release? Do you need beta testers!? ☺️

Hah, I'm afraid not, the focus right now is iPhone, then macOS. So it'll be a while longer for sure and I'm certain we'll announce it as soon as there's any news.

For anyone that comes across this thread — filmstrip is now available in Pixelmator Photo 2.0 and later versions, when working in the Photos browser.

I meant Pixelmator Photo for iOS there. Andrius has mentioned above that we'll be adding the filmstrip to Pixelmator Photo and we did so a few updates ago, so I just wanted to post a little update. The filmstrip is not available in Pixelmator Pro for Mac at the moment.

Hi,

I am using Photo on an iPad but can’t seem to find the filmstrip feature. Can you please provide some instruction or a link to a doc page? Thanks!

You can turn on the filmstrip in Pixelmator Photo settings. Open an image from any album in the Photos browser, tap More (the three dots in a circle) > Settings and you'll find the Filmstrip option there.
