Repro Steps
1. Open a document.
2. Create a shape.
3. From the Shape settings, click the color swatch to display the color picker.
4. Type a 3-digit hex value into the Hex Color field and press Enter to apply it. Note that valid hex values are correctly expanded to 6-digit format, e.g. ABC becomes AABBCC.
5. Close the color picker.
6. Click the Color Wheel button to display the Colors window.
7. Type a 3-digit hex value into the Hex Color field and press Enter to apply it. Note that the color does not change.

Expected Behavior
Valid 3-digit hex colors should be expanded to 6-digit format. Hex Color fields should perform consistently throughout the application.

Actual Behavior
3-digit values entered into the Colors window Hex Color field are ignored as invalid input.

This one is, once again, unfortunately not up to us. We added support for 3-digit notation to the Pixelmator Pro color picker but this isn't available in the Colors window as that is native macOS element designed and updated by Apple. You can try your luck by leaving Apple some feedback here:
