Hello
I can import canon 10 bit heif files (.hif)
But if I click on ml enhance the results are way off. Too bright in most cases.

Hey urmelchen. Would you be able to share the image (or images) in question with us at support@pixelmator.com? We'll investigate.

We haven't had the chance to address the 10-bit HEIF handling in the latest update just yet, but the issue has been reproduced and logged, so the team will most certainly get to it, eventually.

In the release notes I've read support for 10bit heic so thought it's fixed

Ah, got it! The 2.3.6 update focused on a slightly different issue. Some 10-bit HEIC files were not opening in Pixelmator Pro at all and made it quit unexpectedly, so we prioritized this fix this time.

With 4.2 Canon .hif files are not shown in HDR mode :( Very disappointing

Still not fixed yet. Canon .hif files are imported with the wrong color profile: Display P3
Please fix it

Hi urmelchen! Unfortunately, Pixelmator Pro doesn't feature HDR support at the moment, so 10-bit images will be converted into SDR (8 or 16-bit) images once imported into a Pixelmator Pro project. Thus, the images are imported with the Display P3 color profile as well, as native color profiles for 10-bit images require HDR support. This is definitely an area of the app we'd like to improve, but it'll take time.

Ok but Pixelmator abracadabra worked great with hif files also in HDR mode
So the new version is a step backwards
