One the Mac - I am trying to use the paint bucket tool to fill an area of an image. After selecting the paint bucket, I attempt to change the color using the color window and it does look like it has been changed, but when I use the paint bucket, it is always black. I can change the opacity, but not the color. I thought I might be missing something, so looked it up in the help section of the app and I am doing exactly what it says to do.

I am running 3.6

Hi Valerie,

Do you have the Paint Bucket tool's Blending mode set to Normal in the Tools Option bar?

Hi Motiejus,

Yes, I do. I am really perplexed.

Hi! Are you able to drag and drop a screenshot showing the issue? A screenshot of the document window and all open pixelmator palettes ont the reply field here? That way we can try to figure out what is going on. Thanks

Having the same problem, the layers window shows the correct colors (White, Orange, Green and Blue) but the image itself does not (Mac v3.7)

Hi there,

I am having the same issue.

I can't even find the "Tools Option Bar" to check the blending settings!

Please help!

Ignore me - had the opacity set to 0!

Thanks

Hi Joanna, I take it you managed to find the tool options and Opacity was at 0%?
