Light mode in High Sierra

I just bought the new PixelmatorPro (I already have the old Pixelmator) and
read that was possible to have the light mode but I couldn't find the settings.I have eye problems when it's too dark.
Is there a way to set it in light mode in High Sierra?

I'm using it in Mavericks, and the way to switch to light mode (which I prefer also) is in the preferences (under "File" in the menu bar). Have you checked that?

My apologies, Annabel, I meant Pixelmator Pro in the menu bar rather than file.

Under General there is nothing that can change it
or am I missing something?

Yers, I found it in the help section and at this link. The problem I have is that my preferences don't show the option of the window

My preferences are different ! and it's version 1.2.4, just bought it on the Apple store today

Thanks, I hope someone on the Pixelmator Pro team will give me the answer and the fix!
I tried everything I could thing of, even deleting the app Pixelmator, creating a new user and I have a computer with a graphic card that supports Metal. Maybe something left from a trial I used some time ago?! I bought on the Apple Store though...

Well, the minimal requirement in order to run Pixelmator Pro itself is having macOS 10.13 High Sierra, so my guess would be that codenames simply got mixed up

You are probably right, sigh.
Any chances to have the light mode in HighSierra too? Or a trick to make Pixelmator thinking it is in Mojave even if it is HighSierra?

I’m afraid not.. But I would recommend updating your system not only to be able to switch to Light Mode, but also because of a more refined and fresh overall appearance of Pixelmator Pro

I didn't install it yet because of so many issues when a new system arrives...
PixelmatorPro will work great I'm sure, but other apps will not

Yes, so sorry, I did mean Mojave. All those OS names run together after awhile. Concerning Mojave, I had Pages '09 and iMovie '09 to stop working, but no other issues, so far.

To be honest, Mojave may have been the smoothest OS update that we've dealt with, so I'd say you shouldn't face too many issues if you do upgrade. Though, of course, if you do know of any issues with any apps of yours, then it might be better to wait. From personal experience, though, everything's been working great.
