Hi- Occasionally, the title of a document ----.pxd is followed by (Soft Proof with Generic CMYK) What exactly does this mean and why does it only happen occasionally, as I always create a new document by duplicating one I already have on my desktop?
Thanks and have attached a screenshot

Hi Tony. Soft proofing is, essentially, a process that lets you simulate how an image would look like when displayed on a different device or printed. It shouldn't turn on automatically, though. If you often use the Free Transform shortcut — Command + T, is there any chance you accidentally press Command + Y instead (the characters are side by side on the keyboard) and inadvertently turn on soft proofing?
