Remove Background while retaining layers w/ the layer mask

Hi all,

I'm aware that with the Shortcuts app you can have Pixelmator Pro (through an automatic plugin that works with Mac OS and Shortcuts) to automatically remove the background of images from files you use the Finder's Quick Actions with.

This is very helpful, but I was wondering is there any chance this will ever be updated to allow for the option to RETAIN the mask that it generated in order to sillo the subject from the background? As well as save as a layered file, preferably a PSD?

That would be amazing because then if the Remove Background action didn't work well, you could open the file and adjust the layer mask. Would save so much time.

I have tried many iterations of how to potentially do this using a series of actions within a dedicated Shortcut, but I seem to come up empty handed.
