Is this possible to do? Or should I look elsewhere? I don't think Pixelmator can do this. But if I'm wrong please teach me the ways.

Are you probably talking about Clipping Masks?

Nah not that.

You know how you can select a radial mask in Lightroom or Luminar Neo and many others to enhance a specific area of an image?

It's simple. Click the tool, click on your image and drag to resize it. Do your edits. Oh crap I finished with it! Do you need the mask to be smaller or bigger after you're done with it? No problem, just click the handle to bring up the mask and drag to resize. Stress free work.

Well, I'm noticing that you cannot do that in a simple way in Pixelmator Pro. Well, at least not that I have noticed anyway.

I have noticed that once you create a radial mask in Pixelmator Pro (using a radial gradient --- not ideal by the way), you are out of luck if you would like to refine that to change it's size. There are no easy handles to drag to resize it. You have to create the mask all over again. Or struggle to refine it by free hand. ...on a track pad. Not everyone has an expensive Apple Pencil or Bamboo pad.

If there is an easy way to do this, I'm open to learn it.

Well - I can the way I do in Luminar Flex:

Funny how peeps always want features implemented from way more expensive software titles (LN=149$/LT, LR=12$/m) to the bargain ones - Not meant as an offence - just saying.

And how do you set the edges of that mask to be feathered?

Oh and this feature is in a budget app called Luminar Neo. Which at the time, cost me 45 USD. And it is quite simple to do.

If bargain software developers are in the market to compete with the heavy hitters, then those bargain companies will have to come out swinging in order to be properly competitive. And in doing so, they will have to offer things those bigger names offer in order to take some of their customers from them.

With "Refine Mask…" no big deal:

Ok. Now rotate that mask to be up and down, then stretch or shrink it to fit an area you need it to. Or is that not as easy as it seems?

Use Transform.

But when you transform and rotate, aren't you left with hard edges where they used to meet the very outer edge of your image?
