Yes, we've got some cool things in the works for Pixelmator Photo, too!

That was fast  Yep, unfortunately, we don't have GIF support here on the forum but you can use our upload server https://upload.pixelmator.com to upload any video or image files here. You'd just have to copy the generated link and paste it when you post. We'd love to see that first GIF!

This looks promising... Good job! Regarding the templates... are you guys planning to add more options/platforms? So far only Movie Title and YouTube are part of this new feature. It would be great if Instagram had it own category with Reels and Stories. Maybe a community section where Pixelmator users could share all their designs? Like the Darkroom app (iOS) that allows you to share presets for free. That would be great! Thank you.

Hey, @aurelija - FYI there's a broken image on the blog page announcing this. See above "All-New Video Controls". Image

Pixelmator Photo接下来的新功能可以透露一下吗?实在是太好奇了,不会只是Mac端的上线吧!

Could you let me know which web browser you're using? I'm seeing no issues on Safari or Chrome...

Thank you! Hope you have fun with the new feature. There's actually the Social Media Story category you've probably missed. We've added a few video templates there, too. :) As for sharing your designs — you can do so on our Resources forum. We're considering a more convenient resource sharing platform though.

We're currently keeping Pixelmator Photo for Mac under wraps but we'll let you know as soon as we have more details to share.

This is going to be a big game changer. I'm pretty much at the point of dropping Adobe. LOL
I'm just wondering though... with the inclusion of video editing (which I'm just looking at now for the first time) is there an option yet to edit the audio as well?

I never thought much before about using video clips in Pixelmator, but it's definitely cool to have the tools to do so now. Thank you for the awesome update!

Looks great. @Aurelija, any plans to adapt ML Super Resolution for upscaling video content?

I like the new features! Very nice.

Pixelmator Pro is an image editor and adding a few video features is a cool move. I get that a history tool, pdf improvements, a dehaze tool, and lens correction should be worked on first but what be awesome for video would be:

- audio separation and export
- key-framing
- and a speed-up button

Is there any way to directly alter the video itself? IE I would like to paint out specks of dust from product shots frame by frame. Also, what is the keyboard shortcut to move through the video frame by frame?

YIKES! I typed a LONG reply here about how great the video features are....made sure it was posted. Today, I went back to see if anyone replied and it's GONE. I put a lot of time into constructive posts here. OOF!

Sorry to hear that, adamjd. We only delete spam posts from the forum, so I doubt that any of us would have intentionally deleted a reply from a long-time user. Is it possible that the reply never actually got posted, for example due to a connection issue on your end?

I checked after posting (reloaded) and saw it there, so I'm not sure what happened. GREAT update. The video addition is awesome - went into much more detail, but that was the gist of it.

Hi, everybody: The latest updates convinced me to also buy a copy of Pixelmator. I mostly used Apples Photos together with RawPower.
I think it is a great option that Pixelmator is now able to edit also Videos. But starting with a video from Photos, there seems to be no way to use Pixelmator as an extension and edit the video in Pixelmator. It is greyed out. Is it the problem of Photos or what is the cause that I cannot use the extension for video editing? It simply would be so convenient to stay within the Photos application.

I have that same problem too. Whenever I try to edit a video in Pixelmator Pro itself, the video exports as a separate copy with all the metadata (including time, date, and location) destroyed. Another problem is that ML Super Resolution isn't customizable. If you want a 4K video, you have to upscale from 720p. 1080p video will upscale to 5760x3240, which is not only overkill for most people but no display exists in the market that can natively support that resolution and if they did, they'd be astronomically expensive. Also, is HDR Dolby Vision supported?
