Hey guys,

I’m new to this community, however I have read multiple threats in the past and happy this community exists!

I wonder how long the photos extension of Pixelmator Pro is keeping the .pxd of deleted pictures in the folder “Photos Extension Documents“. My workflow involves importing RAWs to photos and then editing them with the extension (which is awesome!), exporting and importing the JPEGs afterwards and then deleting only the RAWs. It looks like the extension is keeping every .pxd file.. which has added up to 60GB on my iCloud storage…
In my opinion, the .pxd files in that folder should be deleted alongside the deleted data they belong to, in my case the RAWs.
Is it supposed to be that way? Through photos, it seems like there is no official way to get rid of these files.

All the best!
Jonathan

Welcome in, Jonathan! Yes, this is a known limitation with the way Photos extensions work. However, there are some pretty cool changes coming soon that should make managing these files a bit more convenient!

Hey Simonasd,
that sounds great - thank you.
I'll just wait for the moment, still enough space on SDD as well as iCloud..
