Will not open images

I am trying to update any png / jpeg etc and I get the following error. I have deleted the app and reinstalled as well as opening the image with another program and resizing as well as doing a screen shot with no different result. HELP.....

Updating images png or jpg
You deleted and reinstalle pixelmator PRo
opening in other image apps also failed failed ?

Can you put the image here that failed?
