+1 I want to add my voice to this thread. I would want this feature in Photomator however, that's the app I use, not Photomator. This would be a very useful feature. The in-camera merge is underwhelming and having a quality HDR merge in Photomator would be a value added. Would love it and use it for sure. It would also make it more competitive with Lightroom which lets face it, it wants to replace for many people. That and make the Sidecar very small, and you have a winner.

HDR is available in Photoshop, Lightroom, Affinity Photo, Luminar Neo and many other competing apps. If Pixelmator has not made a commitment to this feature by now, I would not expect in anytime soon.

I love using Pixelmator Pro and Photomator, however, they are not a one-stop solution for many types of post-processing and therefore I have other apps for these purposes.

I think it unrealistic that Pixelmator Pro offer every feature of Photoshop/Lightroom.

To everyone on this thread interested in Bracket Merge on Pixelmator Pro. I've been working on an applescript automation for doing this merge automatically. It creates luminosity masks for both the light end image and dark end image. Then it adjusts the levels for each contributing layer for a nice HDR merge. It seems to work pretty well assuming original raw images are aligned. So you don't have to seek out a different software solution anymore. Give it a try. Note this is a Pixelmator Pro "action" - not a separate program or something.

Check it out below. Lots of work tweaking this to make it work nicely...

*disclaimer...If I'm wrong, prove me wrong.

4 years and yet still nothing? Hmm...

Feature request noted! I can't promise much in the way of shaking, but we are aware of this feature. For now, there are a few other photography-oriented features that we're prioritizing but it's possible we'll add this at some point in the more long-term future."

All the +1s noted — we hear you! As Andrius said, though, the feature is not in our immediate plans but it's on the list of nice-to-haves."

Quick update — support for bracketing of HDR photos is still not in our immediate plans, but we appreciate the feature requests. The timeline of Pixelmator updates is pretty much set for the foreseeable future but, hopefully, the features that we're working on will give at least some consolation to those waiting for this. 🙏"

What may we all ask is more important than that of what your customers are requesting? Why even bother having people request features if you never satisfy those requests?

I strongly feel that with Pixlemator being under Apple's thumb, your software is being held back from what it genuinely could be. Take a look at the competition, none of them are Apple only apps. And yet they are consistently bringing out new features that satisfy the photography community. Pixelmator, while a great app...just can't keep up with the competition as far as feature releases. Seem familiar? Yep, it's a very similar situation with iOS to Android features. Android has had certain features that could never be found on iOS. And Apple would fail to keep up. ...until 10 or more years later they finally release a feature that has been on android for many years.

The same thing happens with Pixlemator and its requested feature release. So I would assume come 2030 (10 years since the first request on this) we will see this feature. That is, if Pixelmator hasn't totally been absorbed by Apple and discontinued like Aperture.

And as I said up top... If I'm wrong, prove me wrong.

But no reply at all by the pix team, means I'm on to something.

I purchased Affinity Photo 2 for the purpose of merging shots (HDR Merge, Focus Stacking and image blending). I prefer Photomator for editing but Affinity is a good stop-gap application for those specialized editing needs

Can it do batch merging?

I don't use or need any bracketing - don't know much about it. But this trusted Pixelmator Pro user might have this to help?
