Hi Chris, we now have a beta version of Pixelmator with a fix for this issue — could you get in touch with us at support@pixelmator.com? We'll be more than happy to share it with you. :pray:

2020 EDIT: This issue is old and was fixed a long time ago now. If you're still seeing it, make sure to update to the latest version of Pixelmator — if it doesn't update automatically, you can try to move the current version to the Trash and download a fresh copy from the Mac App Store.

It looks like we never received your emails — I checked the Spam folder as well and there are no emails from anybody with your name... (in fact, we forward all spam emails to the main mailbox to avoid issues like this).

Are you sure you sent the email to the right address? Maybe a typo got in the way somewhere?

The beta that fixed this was released over two months ago. I would have thought that any fixes for this would have made it into production software by now. Are you running the latest version of Pixelmator (3.7.5 at time of writing)?

Hey there, this issue was fixed quite a while ago now, are you sure you have the latest version of Pixelmator? You should be at 3.7.5 and if you’re not, it would be a good idea to move the current version to the Trash and download a fresh copy from the Mac App Store.

I believe that anything from version 2.0 should just update from the Mac App Store.

Yep, every single update to the original Pixelmator since it was released on the Mac App Store in 2011 (that's almost 8 years ago) has been completely free. If you're being prompted to buy the app again, it usually means you're using a different Apple ID, you've changed your Apple ID region, or you've accidentally hidden the purchase.

Are you 100% sure you have the latest version of Pixelmator — 3.8.1? If not, the first step would be to update to that version which, so far, has had a 100% success rate for fixing this issue. :blush:
