Good things come to those who wait. And sometimes, those good things come a little early. That’s right, Pixelmator Pro 2.0 is now available — one day earlier than we had originally planned.

Thanks

2.0 is actually Mojave or later – 1.8 is the last version compatible with High Sierra. :pensive: Hope you'll be able to upgrade, though!

My first impression is great! I am happy to be able to move the tool bars around. Prefer them on top and layers to the right! I wish though that the text tools had been close to Style, Color Adjustments and Effects. Now they are far to the right which forces me to move the mouse long distances! Good exercise, I presume! When I design, I use the text tool quite often, making posters e.g. But until now, apart from that personal view of mine, it all looks very good! Congratulations!

You can customise the toolbar and bring the text button wherever you want like you customise the safari toolbar

Yep, that's right, View > Customize Tools is probably the easiest way to find that.

You could check the release notes on the Updates page and we're trying to put together a "What's New" video with a more detailed look at each new feature. If things go well (and we're happy with how it looks), it would come out tomorrow.

I'm sorry to say that 2.0 requires macOS Mojave or above...

This pointless Auto-center option is still on for every single new or opened document. This is just bad UX

You're right, this should probably be remembered app-wide — we'll see what we can do in one of the next few updates.

I also appreciate the ability to switch toolbars to match other softwares I use. It's a matter of habit.

If you're on High Sierra, you should already have v1.8 – do you not? If so, could you let me know which version you do have?
