All of the sudden I'm not able to open PSD files in PPro.
They'll open fine in Affinity Designer but Pixelmator isn't working with these files for some reason.
I tried multiple PSD files and I get the same thing:

Hey zamboknee. If you haven't already, would you be able to share a couple of these PSD files that won't open with us at support@pixelmator.com? We'll investigate!

Would also be great if we could take a closer look at that SVG file.

by FranCruzarianick 2022-03-15 15:48:41 These errors usually occur when Windows OS launch services database
When you say 'windows' I assume you're referring to the theoretical Windows that the PSD was originally created on?

That was a spam post. :grimacing: Not sure what they're getting out of it, to be honest, but we've removed it just to be safe.

I'm using Pixelmator Pro (Version 2.4.5 Odesa) on macOS Monterey (Version 12.5.1). When I save a new file in native file format, PXD, I cannot open the file again. It seems to be broken. This didn't work since I'm using your tool. Could you please help?

Best regards

Hi f.goeldner, is there any chance you have Autodesk Sketchbook installed on your Mac? This sounds like a known issue caused by a file extension conflict between Autodesk Sketchbook and Pixelmator Pro. You can resolve the issue by either deleting Sketchbook, or by running a command flag in Terminal that changes the way Pixelmator Pro saves its files. You can find out more in this forum thread: viewtopic.php?t=19655
