Banding in edited RAW images

I get significant banding, particularly in the sky, when editing RAW images (both from an iPhone 14 and Sony A600). The banding does not show up in Photomater but is present inside photos. If images are exported from Photomater they are fine, but if exported from Photos the banding remains. I have only encountered this pro blem when editing on Photomater for MacOS.

I hit this as well. I was able to get around it by increasing the Image Quality to 100% in the "Settings...".

Seems like the default should be 100% when saving changes back to the Photos Library.
