Support for editing and exporting JXL files would be great, if it's not already planned for MacOS Sonoma.
In addition, the ability to export in 10bit or 12bit color, without requiring enormous 16 bit PNGs/TIFFs would be highly appreciated.

macOS 14.0 Sonoma Public Beta 23A5276g supports opening and viewing JPEG XL in .jxl within Preview and Finder but cannot currently export in the format.
Affinity Photo 2 already supports import/edit/export of JPEG XL : )
Photoshop Beta v 24.7 currently opens .jxl as a RAW image in Adobe Camera RAW 15.4, so I'm not quite sure what's going on there.
Implementation in Pixelmator Pro 3.3.9 would be grand!
