Pixelmator Pro extension in Apple Photos

I have been using the Pixelmator Pro extension with Apple Photos successfully for several years. However, recently the extension has stopped working. The error message is: Cannot load representation of type PUEditinginitialPayloadTypeidentifier"

I have tried quitting the apps and restarting. Also re-enabling the extension using Manage.

I greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

OK, I solved the problem by switching out of the library. Did a test on another library and the extension worked.

When I switched back to the problem library the extension worked.
