I am using Photomater for the Mac and whenever I create the subject layer the Subject is covered in a red mask. The problem is that I can't figure out how to make the red mask go away so I can see the adjustments I am making to the subject. Currently I have to take a stab at the adjustments, save the photo and go back into it to see what it looks like. How do I get the red mask to go away so I can see the actual adjustments? The same thing happens when I do select Sky.

The Mask should disappear as soon as you move a slider? If not "o" should toggle the mask overlay on or off

I see this on one of my machines too.
It is odd because both machines are Apple Silicon M1 Macs.
I see this phenomenon on my MacBook Air, the other machine is an iMac where it does not occur.
Both computers are on macOS Sonoma.
The difference between the computers is in RAM and disk space, the MBA is the lowest specced one, the iMac has more memory and disk space.

you may have the mask set to always be on on the MBA. As Shelton says, use the 'O' key to toggle the mask on/off.
