Restore Colors and color density and remove color casts of old Photos in my library

I digitalized a lot of old family photos. Since they are partly really old they have color casts that I want to remove. I got really good results with My Herritage (had a trial subscription there). Is there anything planned to implement such a functionality?

Can you not use the R, G & B channels in the curves tool to try and help?
